Hoy quiero platicarles de dos compras que hice hace tiempo y que por lo tanto ya estan más que probadas. Ambas son de Coastal Scents.
Today I want to tell you about two purchases that I made time ago and therefore are more than proven. Both are from Coastal Scents.

SABLE BLENDING BRUSH

Es una brocha de cerdas largas, muy sueltas y suaves. Excelente calidad, las cerdas no se le caen. Por su tamaño es especial para difuminar partes amplias del ojo. La compré porque había leído muy buenas reseñas de ella pero todavía no termina de gustarme, por lo mismo de las cerdas tan sueltas se me ha hecho complicado trabajar con ella. Supongo que es cuestion solamente de gustos y costumbres. El precio es de 2.90 dlls.

It's a brush with long, very loose and soft bristles. Excellent quality, the bristles doesn't fall. For his size is special to blend large parts of the eye. I bought it because I had read very good reviews about it but I don't like it enough, for the same reason, the loose bristles I find hard to work with it. I guess is matter of tastes and customs. The prices is 2.90 dlls.

DESTINY BLENDER BRUSH



Es una brocha de cerdas medianas, no muy sueltas, y suaves (no tan suaves como las de la anterior brocha). Por su tamaño te permite difuminar tanto zonas pequeñas como grandes, inclusive puedes aplicar sombra directamente con ella. Esta es mi brocha de difuminar favorita por su versatilidad y fácil manejo. El precio es de 2.49 dlls.

It's a brush with medium size, not very loose and soft bristles (not as soft as the previous brush). Its size allows you to blend small and big zones, inclusive, you can apply shadow with it. This is my favorite blending brush for its versatility and easy handling. The price is 2.49 dlls.

4.-Cuidado y limpieza de las brochas/ 4.-Care and cleaning of brushes

Hello everybody! This is the way that works for me, and I hope it will be useful...

Las brocha hay que limpiarlas constantemente para evitar infecciones en nuestra cara y ojos.
You have to clean your brushes constantly in order to prevent infections in our face and eyes.

Tengo tres formas de lavar las brochas y depende de las necesidad es la técnica de limpiéza que puedes aplicar...
I have three ways to clean my brushes and depends of your needs is the technique  of cleaning that you can apply...

1.-Limpieza profunda con jabón antibacterial/ Deep cleaning with antibacterial soap
Esta la utilizo la primera vez que voy a utilizar las brochas, es decir cuando son nuevas. También la utilizo en las brochas del rostro CADA VEZ que termino de utilizarlas. Como no utilizo las brochas de rostro todos los días pues no me maquillo más que en ocasiones especiales pues no tiene caso dejarlas ahí multiplicando bacterias de un evento a otro, pero si tu utilizas maquillaje diario podrías hacer este procedimiento UNA VEZ A LA SEMANA como mínimo, no dejes pasar mucho más tiempo, podría ser peligroso.  Y finalmente esta limpieza la utilizo un vez al mes con las brochas de los ojos. Si, solo una vez al mes porque el resto de las veces utilizo otra técnica para limpiarlas que luego explicaré.
I use that technique the very first time that I'm using a brush, I mean, when they're new. Also I used this tecnique EVERY TIME that I finish to use my face brushes. I don't use makeup in my face everyday, only in special occasions, so I prefer don't to leave them dirty between the important events, but if you use makeup everyday you could follow this procedure ONE A WEEK minimum, don't miss much time, it could be dangerous. And finally I clean in this way my eye brushes once a month. Yes, only once a month because the rest of the time I used a different technique to clean my eye brushes. I will explain later.

A.-Pon jabón antibacterial en tu mano y humedece la brocha con agua.
A.-Put antibacterial soap in your hand and wet the brush with water

B.-Haz circulos hasta formar espuma. Si es necesario aplica más jabón.

B. Make circles with the brush until make lather.  If necessary apply more soap.

C.-Ya que la espuma se vea clara, empieza a enjuagar tu brocha con agua de la llave. Evita que caiga agua en la virola para que no se le despeguen los pelos y se caigan. No metas la brocha directamente al chorro de agua ni las metas en algun recipiente con agua.
C.-When the lather looks clear, start to rinse out the brush with water. Avoid that the water fall in the ferrule in order to avoid that the hair falling off. Don't immerse the brushes directly into the stream of water or in a container with water. 

D.-Para saber si ya no tiene jabón, exprime la brocha. Si no sale espuma ¡has terminado!. Algunas brochas requieren más tiempo de enjuague.
D. To know if the brush doesn't have soap, squeeze it. If you don't see lather. You have finished!. Some brushes requires more time of rinse.

E.-Si la brocha ya esta bien enjuagada, aprietala una vez más para quitar el exceso de agua e intenta darle su forma original. Ahora sigue dejar que se seque. Las brochas mas grandes pueden tardar un día completo en secarse bien.
E.-If the brushes is perfectly rinse, squeeze it again to remove excess of water and try to give its original shape.  Now, we must leave it dry. The bigger brushes could take a day to dry them well.


Nunca coloques tus brochas con el pelo hacia arriba, el agua escurre hacia la virola y los pelos se caen.
Never put your brushes with the hair up, the water drains into the ferrule and the hair falls off.

Una opción para dejarlas secando es pegarlas en la pared con cinta adhesiva.

One option to leave them drying is paste them with tape in a wall. 

Otra opción, es la que yo utilizo, es ponerlas sobre una toalla, creando un desnivel con la misma toalla y la punta fuera del borde.

Another option, I use this one, is put them on a towel, making a slope with the same towel and with the tip out of the edge.

2.-Limpieza profunda con líquido especial/ Deep cleaning with special liquid

Este tipo de limpieza la utilizo una vez a la semana con los pinceles de ojos. Con las brochas del rostro nunca utilizo el líquido especial porque tiene glicerina para dejarlas suaves, pero como es aceite puede provocar que me salga acné.

I use this kind of cleaning once a week in the eye brushes. I don't use the special liquid with the face brushes because it has glicerine to keep them soft, but it's oil and it could cause acne.

Yo utilizo el de la marca Face secrets pero hay de otras marcas, tal vez el más famoso sea el de Mac. Yo consigo este en Sally Beauty Supply

I use the special liquid by Face secrets but there are other brands, maybe the most famous is Mac's. I buy this in Sally Beauty Supply



Pongo un poco de liquido, muy poco, en un recipiente, sumerjo solo la punta de la brocha y comienzo a hacer circulos hasta que salga todo el maquillaje. Si es necesario, tiro el liquido sucio, aplico un poco más y sigo el mismo procedimiento. Finalmente limpio el exceso de líquido en una toalla.

First I put liquid, little, in a container, and dip the tip of the brush, and make circles until the brush is clean. If necessary, throw the dirty liquid,  put a little more and follow the same procedure. Finally clean the excess of liquid in a towel.

3.-Limpieza rápida/ fast cleaning

Yo hago esto cada vez que termino de usar mis pinceles de ojos, para desinfectarlos y que la siguiente vez que lo use esten limpios y así evitar infecciones y que se mezclen los colores.

I do this every time that I finish to use the eye brushes, to desinfect, and for the next time they are clean, and thus avoid infections and  mix the colors.

Primero pongo un poco del liquido limpiador de brochas en un recipiente con valvula...

First I put a little of the special brush cleaning liquid in a container with valve...

Cada vez que termino de usar los pinceles rocio un poco del liquido en el pelo y lo limpio en una toalla...
Every time I finish to use the brushes, I spray the special liquid in the hair  and clean it in a towel..

IDEAS PARA GUARDAR LAS BROCHAS

IDEAS TO STORE THE BRUSHES

Generalmente a las chicas les guasta guardar sus brochas en contenedores porque estan a la mano y se ven lindas pero yo recomiendo esto solamente si las tienes en un gabinete cerrado pues  de otra forma se estarán llenando de polvo.

Usually girls like to store the brushes in containers because they are at hand and look nice but I  recommend this only if you have them in a closed cabinet, for otherwise they fill with dusty.

Aquí estan algunos tipos de pinceles que nos podemos encontrar y el uso que se le puede dar...
Here we have some kind of brushes that that we can find, and the utility that you can give them...

Todos estos pinceles son para sombra y las puedes usar para aplicarla en el parpado o en el hueso de la ceja.
All these are shadow brushes and you can use them to apply it in the lid or in the brow bone.

 Estos son pinceles para difuminar, y son largos y abombados.
These are blending brushes and they are large and fluffy.

Estos pinceles que estan cortados en angulo se utilizan especialmente para aplicar sombra en la ceja pero también se pueden utilizar para aplicar el delineador en gel.
These brushes that are cut at an angle are specials to apply shadow in the eyebrow but they could be useful to apply gel eyeliner.

Estos pinceles en forma de lápiz son perfectas para aplicar sombra en el pliegue del ojo.
These pencil brushes are perfect to apply shadow in the crease.

Estos pinceles de "detalle" son para hacer pequeñas aplicaciones como para aplicar la sombra en la linea inferior de las pestañas o en el lagrimal.
These detail brushes are special to small applications like, to apply shadow in the lower lash line or in the tear duct.

The brushes are useful to brush the eyebrows and shaping them, and the combs are special to separate the lashes after apply the mascara.

Ya casi nadie quiere utilizar las esponjas después de utilizar las brochas pero siempre las incluyen cuando compras los kits de brochas entonces les puedes dar uso como para difuminar el delineador den lápiz al hacer un smokey-eye.
Hardly anyone want to use sponges after use the brushes but they are always included in the brush kits so you can use them to blend the eyeliner pencil when you're making a smokey-eye.

Información sobre las brochas de maquillaje/ Information about the makeup brushes

La mayoría de los looks que se proponen en los blogs y videos de youtube necesitan realizarse con brochas, y aunque no es necesario  comprarse todas las brochas del mundo si es bueno saber para qué sirven y ya nosotros elegir cual se acomoda más a lo que queremos por eso pensé que realizar una entrada de este tipo era importante.

The most of the makeup looks that are shown  in blogs and youtube, need brushes to recreate them, and although  it’s not necessary to buy all the brushes of the world, it’s good to know what is the function of them, and then we can choose the best brush to our needs, this is the reason to write this post…

Toda la información yo la ha aprendido leyendo e investigando y las fotos que voy a poner son de brochas que yo tengo y otras de internet porque no las he probado pero me parece que es importante conocerlas.

I have learned this information Reading and investigating, and the pictures that I will upload are of my own brushes and from internet, because I don’t have all the brushes but, I think that is important to know them.

Partes de la una brocha:

-mango

-virola  (la parte metálica que une el pelo con el mango)

-pelo

Parts of a makeup brush

-handle

-ferrule (the metal that connects the bristles with the handle)

-bristles

Tipos y Utilidad:

-Brochas de pelo natural: Son hechas de pelo de animal o de una combinación de varios,  como marta, ardilla, tejón, pony, y mangosta.  Y son principalmente para aplicar productos en polvo, como rubor, polvo para el rostro, sombras…

-Brochas de pelo sintético: Son hechas de nylon, poliéster o rayón. Son especiales para aplicar productos en crema como correctores, bases, labiales…pues no absorben tanto producto.

La utilidad la puedes ir viendo conforme vayas experimentando con el maquillaje, esto no es regla ya que hay brochas de pelo sintético muy buenas  que inclusive se pueden utilizar con polvos…

Types and Utility:

-Natural bristles brushes: Are made of animal hair of a combination of them, as marten, squirrel, badger, pony and mongoose. And they are principally to apply powder products, like blush, makeup powder, shadows..



-Synthetic bristles brushes: Are made of nylon, polyester, taklon. They are specials to apply cream products like concealer, foundations, lipsticks…because they don’t absorb too much product.

Cómo distinguirlas:

-Color: las de pelo sintético pueden tener colores más llamativos, las de pelo natural siempre serán del color del animal del que estén hechas.

-Tacto: las de pelo natural son más suaves.

-Sonido: las brochas de pelo natural casi no producen sonido al pasar el dedo por los pelos.

-Maleabilidad: Las brochas de pelo natural son menos maleables, es decir que si haces los pelos hacia un lado tardan más en volver a su lugar que una de pelo sintético.

-Costo: la de pelo natural siempre será más cara que una de pelo sintético.

-Durabilidad: La de pelo natural con el tiempo tiende a volverse más suave y la de pelo sintético más áspera.

How to distinguish them:

-Color: The synthetic brushes could have striking colors; the natural brushes have the color of the animal that are made.

-Touch: The natural brushes are softest.

-Sound: The natural brushes almost don’t produce sound when you slide the finger for the bristles.

-Malleability: the natural brushes are less malleable than the synthetic brushes, I mean, if you move the bristles to one side they take longer to return to its original form that a synthetic brush.

-Cost: a natural brush is more expensive than a synthetic brush.

-Durability: A natural brush eventually becomes softer than a synthetic brush.

Otros puntos importantes

-Algunas personas son alérgicas a las brochas de pelo natural entonces no hay más opción para estas personas que las de pelo sintético

-Hay que limpiar las brochas constantemente, es un punto muy importante, pues guardan muchas bacterias.



-Antes de usar las brochas por primera vez tienes que lavarlas.

Other important points

-Some people are allergic to natural bristles so the option to these people is to use synthetic brushes.

-You have to clean your brushes constantly; it’s a very important point, because the brushes have a lot of bacteria.

-Before to use the brushes for the very first time you have to wash them.

Dia 10: Brocha de mquillaje favorita: tal vez sea trampa pero mi brocha favorita es una doble, esta de face secret, la compré en Sally beauty Supply. Es de pelo de pony y muy suave.

Pues bueno, esta no es una nueva compra pero la subo hoy porque me acaba de llegar: hace como un mes, de hecho menos de un mes, pedí por ebay ese set de brochas de la foto y la kabuki, yo no sabía pero lo estaba pidiendo hasta china, me daba pánico que no llegara pero ¡llego! hoy por fin recibí mi primer manta de brochas y mi primer kabuki ¡estoy emocionada, espero que funcionen bien, estan padrísimas aunque yo pense que iban a ser mas suavecitas, la kabuki si es super suave pero las otras no tanto pero queria tener así brochas de pelo de cabra, se supone que no es buena idea comprar todo un set con brochas del mismo pelo pero a mi me encantaron cuando las vi por eso las pedí, lo unico malo es que en la foto yo pense que el mango de las brochas era rosa y no :( resulta que son café.

Pues bueno he ahí mi comprita, lo que no me agrado fue como mandan las cosas, en un vil sobre, me da curiosidad saber si también así empacan las paletas de sombras =s ¡que tal si llegan rotas! que miedo, mejor las pido a Coastal Scence, más caras pero más seguro que lleguen bien.
